Dadri Incident: Farhan Akhtar Says "This is NOT the time to remain silent."

There’s a lot of hue and cry in the nation after the murder of Mohammad Ikhlaq because if rumours are to be believed, he was killed because he and his family had eaten beef.

Son of one of the best writers of India, Farhan Akhtar often raises his voice on social issues. This time it is the brutal killing of a man in Dadri where Mohommad Ikhlaq was beaten to death by 200 strong mob on 28^th September, 2015. The actor-director-singer expressed his agony through a post he made on Facebook and called it ‘The Shame of Dadri and Thwarting of Mahatma’s Dream.’

He said that the guilty should be strictly punished and send a strong message to that such “kangaroo justice” will not be allowed. However, he fears that the guilty may never be brought to book. While for the ministry it might be just an accident, Farhan Akhtar has urged people not to remain silent and make sure that such incident is never forgotten or repeated.
