It seems that Bollywood is a fan of non-fiction stories these days. There are several filmmakers who are taking up projects that have a storyline based on true stories. One such example is the real life story of Uzma Ahmed, an Indian national who was made to marry Pakistani national Tahir Ali at gunpoint in Pakistan.
Looking at the issue, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj went above and beyond in order to bring the Indian national back to her country and succeeded. According to sources, there was a legal battle in order to bring back Uzma Ahmed. The rumours are churning that filmmaker Dhiraj Kumar will be taking this real life story to the silver screen.
Moreover, hearsay is that Bollywood diva Tabu has been approached to portray the role of Sushma Swaraj. Also, there have also been rumours about Parineeti Chopra and Taapsee Pannu being approached for the role. Also, Anil Kapoor may play the role of the Indian Deputy High Commissioner.
