After a serious drought at the global market for Indian films, Finding Fanny tried bringing in some respite. While Singham Returns, Mardaani, Mary Kom could not enjoy a very healthy overseas run, the last week release did put the smiles back on.

Considering the cost and genre of the film, the Homi Adajania directed Finding Fanny was able to hold firm in all key international markets. It has collected a little over 8 crores as of now from the overseas. While US/Canada and UAE contributed the most, the UK market was quite beneficial too. The overall appeal of the movie has perhaps done well to give it a strong hold. Already made in English with short length and no ‘special’ songs, Finding Fanny is apt international product. The film also held itself tight in the domestic market too. After a good opening weekend at the box office, the film didn’t witness a huge fall on Monday and collected around 2.5 crores.

The only big prospect that assures a thunderous overseas journey now is Bang Bang which is in all sorts a perfect international masala. While there are still two weeks to go for the release of the film, Finding Fanny has found some funds for itself meanwhile.
