First look For Irrfan Khan’s Madaari Revealed

Following the announcement of Irrfan Khan’s two projects, a Bollywood and a Hollywood film, the first look for his Hindi film ‘Madaari’ has been revealed. The movie is being directed by Nishikant Kamat and will allegedly have a political background. Irrfan and the director previously worked together in the 2008 film ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’.

‘Madaari’ has been filmed in Delhi, Mumbai, Shimla and Dehradun. Rumours have stated that the film will be based on Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his journey through the Indian political scene. Some reports also state that the film will be based on real life events. Since there have been no official announcements regarding the plot, these talks might not be true.

Nishikant’s last film was ‘Rocky Handsome’ which starred John Abraham. The movie failed to impress the audiences which makes ‘Madaari’ a chance for redemption, for the director. Irrfan, on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Jazbaa’ which was directed by Sanjay Gupta and starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
