First look poster of Ram Leela out, meets audiences’ expectations

First look poster of noted Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious filmRam Leelais out and unsurprisingly it matches the creative innovation expected from the maker ofDevdas, Black, Guzaarish.The poster of the Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer film, which is rumoured to be the Indian version of Shakespeare's romantic sagaRomeo and Juliet, looks like a great work of art – a multi-coloured painting with an old world charm. The chemistry between the two stars is very much visible in the picture which carries the name of the film in Hindi and also has an interesting tag line:'Goliyon Ki Raasleela...Ram Leela'. As the tagline suggests in the film romance seems to be brewing amidst violence. While Deepika is wearing alehenga, which has a 50 metre 'ghera', Ranveer flaunts his six-pack in a rugged avatar.

Film’s costume designer Anju Modi said she has done all the shopping for fabrics and other intricacies in Kutch to create dresses for Deepika. "Sanjay and I were very clear about the look we wanted to give Deepika. So, while thelehengashad to reflect the royal lineage of the Kutch region, they also had to have a very contemporary feel as Ram Leela is not a period drama," Anju said. The designer is also very happy with her leading lady and said, "No one else could have carried it as gracefully as she does. She is slim-waisted, tall and looks gorgeous in this avatar. Dressing her up in this style has been a dream come true."
