Fugly Actress Kiara Advani to Play Sakshi Dhoni in Dhoni’s Biopic

Baby director Neeraj Pandey is quite selective when it comes to deciding the cast of his films. For his next project, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, the Special 26 director auditioned for many months, searching for an apt actress to play Sakshi Dhoni on-screen; and has finally roped in Fugly fame Kiara Advani. Sushant Singh Rajput is playing the titular role in the biopic.

A source close to the venture told Bombay Times, “It was quite challenging to find the right girl to play Sakshi as people at large have seen her quite frequently on television and in person, so they would tend to compare. Neeraj was clear that he wanted a young actress in this biopic. He didn't wish to cast a leading lady who has done many roles because he didn't want the audience to have a preconceived notion or form an impression about her. He basically wanted an actor without baggage”.

As per the reports, the A Wednesday director was immensely impressed with Kiara’s audition. Her on-screen test included scenes with Sushant Singh Rajput and it is said that the chemistry between the duo was unmatched. After Kiara has been roped in, she is working hard and rehearsing non-stop to get into the skin of the character.
