Govinda to become Ranbir Kapoor’s father

Actor Govinda, who last starred in 2011 flick Loot, will now be seen guiding heartthrob Ranbir in upcoming comedy-mysteryJagga Jasoos. As per the buzz going around the industry, the49-year-old has agreed to be a part ofAnurag Basu-Ranbir project. A source revealed, “The film is a joint production between Ranbir and director Anurag Basu. It was Anurag who had approached Govinda to star in the film. Govinda has apparently already greenlighted the project.”

However, all these conversations were just verbal talks and a written agreement is still awaited. When contacted Govinda, he said, “My movies haven’t released in the last three years and soon enough, along with the father’s role, I willbe approached for the grandfather’s role as well.” Ranbir in the lead role is playing a 17-year-old old boy’s character in the film while Katrina Kaif is finalised to play lead actress opposite Ranbir. The movie expected to release next year will have Pritam’s compositions.
