The era of traditional love stories seems to be gone as the filmmakers are picking up more real content to dish out.  Recently, Sangeeta Ahir, producer of movie ‘Guddu Rangeela’, shared her theory about picking up content-driven subjects. She believes that the main protagonist in any film is its script. The producer said, “Creating cinema is not the same as creating a product. Content is what matters! We are looking at an array of ideas for Mangal Murti to ride on”.

While praising Subhash Kapoor – director of the ‘Guddu Rangeela’, she stated, "Subhash is a brilliant writer. He understands the mass mentality and accordingly gives his stories a touch of reality. He has ensured that this film is both for the masses and classes".

Guddu Rangeela is a comedy film which includes Aditi Rao Hydari, Amit Sadh, Arshad Warsi and Ronit Roy in lead roles. The flick is based on the Manoj-Babli honour killing case of Haryana. While talking about the movie, Sangeeta said, "This film might have patriarchal overtones, but it includes the voice of a woman. This story has a beautiful connect with the mass as a common man rises up to fight the autocracy of khap panchayats".
