Here’s What Drove Sonam Kapoor’s Love For Fashion

It goes without saying that the youth looks up to Sonam Kapoor as a fashion icon. But, not many might know what influenced the stylish Bollywood actress’ love for fashion. Recently, Sonam spilled the beans on what inspired her fondness for fashion and disclosed that movies are the reason behind the same.

During the Vogue BFFs show, Sonam revealed, “My love for fashion happened because of movies. It’s because of Audrey Hepburn, Catherine Hepburn! The reason I love Givenchy so much is because of Funny Face! You know, the incredible clothes that he did and the costumes that he gave her in the movie! Or if I look at Catherine Hepburn, she’s the first one to wear trousers and a swimsuit, Breakfast At Tiffany’s! You know, these are the movies that actually encouraged me to look at vintage and old stuff”.

Sonam also revealed that she changes her clothes for approximately four times on non-shooting days. On the work front, Sonam will next be seen in her sister Rhea and Ekta Kapoor’s flick Veerey Di Wedding. The slice-of-life film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
