Here’s Why Imtiaz Ali Repeated Ranbir Kapoor And Deepika Padukone In His Movies

There are several filmmakers who consider certain actors as their muse and often cast them in their movies. Sanjay Leela Bhansali , Rohit Shetty , Ram Gopal Varma are some of the filmmakers who consider certain actors as their muse and often cast them in their movies. Sanjay Leela Bhansali casts Deepika Padukone in his films, Rohit Shetty casts Ajay Devgn and Ram Gopal Varma often casts Urmila Matondkar in his films.

However, Imtiaz Ali is a little different from others. Though he doesn’t have any muse, but he repeated Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in two of his films. While Deepika appeared in Tamasha and Love Aaj Kal , Ranbir appeared in Tamasha and Rockstar .

When asked why he repeated Ranbir and Deepika, the Highway director said, "I am very fond of Ranbir and Deepika as actors. I share a certain comfort level and understanding with them. Of course, they are my friends, but that doesn't matter. The reason they were also in 'Tamasha' (after their previous films) is because they suited the parts."

When questioned him whether he plans to cast Ranbir and Deepika again in his future films, he said, "I am working on two stories at the moment, but nothing is confirmed as yet."
