From ‘Highway’ to ‘Sports Field’, Alia Bhatt now turns a hockey player

Alia Bhatt will pick up a hockey stick for her role in upcoming film Udta Punjab. The actress who has a crucial part to play in the movie will apparently be a professional hockey player of the country.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab that has brought along quite a buzz with itself stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead. An interesting aspect propping up was Kareena Kapoor Khan being on board too who sadly doesn’t share any screen space with ex-flame Shahid Kapoor. Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh also makes his Bollywood debut with the project. Alia has been training hard on hockey to look a skilled hockey player and learn the necessary aspects about the game. Udta Punjab deals with the growing drugs problem in the state and is all set to go on the floors.
