Holiday is now officially the Highest Grossing film of the year, beats Jai Ho!

Bollywood, June 30 -- It has happened!!! For everyone who was looking at Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty as the major challenger to beat the lifetime collections of the Salman Khan starrer ‘Jai ho’, has been vindicated of their point. The Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer has now emerged as the highest grosser of the year, a record which was held by Jai ho from the beginning of the year. It took more than three weeks for the film go past this record.

Holiday is now officially the Highest Grossing film of the year, beats Jai Ho!

Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty now stands at a collection of 111.25 crores beating Salman’s Jai ho that died at 111 crores. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty was hugely loved all over the country and families turned up in large numbers contributing substantially in the success of the movie. The film was a tribute to the Indian Army and its hard work to tackle sleeper cells and terrorism. Akshay Kumar now has an enormous asset in hand with the tag of having the highest earner of the year. However it is highly unlikely that Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty may hold this reward for long since most of the biggies are to follow up in the next half of the year that includes Salman’s Kick, SRK’s Happy New Year, Aamir’s Peekay, Ranbir’s Bombay Velvet and a lot more. For the moment it’s an achievement of pride for Vipul Shah and team and we congratulate them for this feather in their cap.
