Hrithik Roshan out of Shuddhi, issues official statement

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has officially made an exit from the Dharma Productions' project Shuddhi and the announcement has come soon after filmmaker Karan Johar announced that Hrithik’s health issues have caused a prolonged delay in the film. Now the actor has issued an official statement announcing his quitting decision.

Hrithik stated, "Karan Malhotra (director) and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post Shuddhi. For now, I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience as an actor working with Karan Malhotra in Agneepath and I'm sure that my dear Karans, Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra, are going to go beyond with this one. Shuddhi remains a part of me in spirit and I am sure it will be a landmark film in our cinema. I wish them all the best.”

As soon as Hrithik has opted out of Shuddhi, speculations have begun about his replacement. Names like Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor have already started doing rounds. As reported earlier, the delay in the project may also force Kareena Kapoor Khan to dissociate herself from the same and if it happens, the next choice as the leading actress in the film in 2013’s best actress, Deepika Padukone. Fans have been eagerly waiting to watch Hrithik-Kareena pair onscreen after almost a decade but their dream seems to be distant now, indefinitely.
