Hrithik Roshan takes on Nitya Mehra’s time travel spin

Debutant director Nitya Mehra is planning to helm a sci-fi drama and we hear that Hrithik Roshan is on a role for it. Excel Entertainment, producing the venture, has reportedly signed Hrithik for the male lead, earlier offered to Aamir Khan, which he turned down because of remuneration and commercial issues.

As per a source, "The film is a sci-fi drama with a time-travel spin. It has a romantic angle which spans across timelines. When the script went to Hrithik, he was impressed and promptly agreed to come on board." The source further elaborated, “It's a film which will be made on a lavish scale and is expected to go on floors in February 2015 by which time she should be done with Karan Johar's Shuddhi." Deepika Padukone is roped in for female lead and she is excited to be cast alongside Bollywood’s Greek god Hrithik Roshan. The film titled is also not declared. The audience will soon be informed as and when an official announcement is done.
