Hrithik Roshan To Play A Pilot In ‘Fighter’?

The 42-year-old actor, Hrithik Roshan, has already played a soldier in the Army in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Lakshya’. Reportedly, he has been roped in Siddharth Anand’s next. In this project, Hrithik is likely to be seen as an IAF pilot. Siddharth’s last project with Hrithik was ‘Bang Bang’.

As per reports, ‘Fighter’ will be inspired by Tom Cruise-starrer ‘Top Gun’. A source informed, “It was during the making of Bang Bang that Siddharth had narrated the idea to Hrithik. Once the script was completely finished, he took it to the actor again. Hrithik liked the script. After that, Siddharth stepped out of Sanjay Dutt’s return vehicle Badlaa. And Hrithik got busy shooting for Sanjay Gupta’s Kaabil. But after that film is completed, his dates are free as the actor has not committed to any other film. He even walked out of Thug.”

The film is in quest of a producer. Allegedly, the massive budget of the film is threatening producers to bankroll this venture. The source further added, “It remains to be seen whether Hrithik’s dad Rakesh Roshan will consider coming on board as producer, considering the fact that the next instalment of Krrish is nowhere in sight.”

An official announcement is yet scheduled.
