    Last week’s release, the Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania has managed to notch-up an impressive figure at the box-office by the end of its first week. The Karan Johar produced flick has earned more than 50 crore thus placing itself safely into profits.

    The film that had a connecting appeal with the youth saw many of the youngsters turning up and also liking it. The film by the end of Thursday collected around 55 crores which is huge in terms of the cost. Looking at the business of the films this year, it is observed that barring Jai Ho and Holiday- A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, all films earning big have been moderately budgeted. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania which is directed by the debutant Shashank Khaitan has only made the trend strong.

    Meanwhile, couple of other films of the same league with average budget opened today at the box office, Pizza 3D and Hate Story 2. While the films offer different genre of entertainment, both would rely on positive word of mouth to grow into business. The early reports have indicated that the films are not bad for a viewing. Let’s wait and watch before the storm of Kick comes in next Friday.
