Humshakals debacle has put Saif on right track

Bollywood honcho also touted as ‘Chotte Nawab’ Saif Ali Khan, who recently came out in the open with his disappointment over doing a film like Humshakals, now wants to make amends. The actor in a recent interview said that doing Humshakals was a huge mistake and that he wouldn’t prefer working with Sajid again. The national award winning actor also believed Humshakals was just not the kind of comedy he enjoys doing.

Meanwhile on a sensible note, the actor has confirmed himself to be a part of Homi Adajania’s next. They allied in the past in Being Cyrus and the blockbuster-hit rom-com Cocktail. Homi who is believed to be a filmmaker of urban reach and handlings is coming up with Finding Fanny which stars Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor, but will soon start working on his next with Saif. The film is going to be a comedy, but just like the way Saif likes with no Humshakals type of flavour involved. The project will go on the floors in winter this year and may release later next year. Humshakals was slammed by the all-important critics, who tore into Sajid’s credentials, questioning him over the reason of making such a quack-sham.

Meanwhile Saif is busy with Phantom, which stars Katrina Kaif and is directed by Kabir Khan. He’s also working with Ileana D’cruz and Kalki Loechlin in Happy Ending. Well, the least we could thank Humshakals is for getting our derailed Nawab on track and realize what quality stuff he is made for.
