I am not here to play games: Lauren Gottlieb

Actor Lauren Gottlieb feels people from outside the film industry do not play ‘games’ to make it big. “I can see games being played in the industry. People are lying all the time to get ahead. I am an outsider, so I don’t have the same attitude. I am not here to sabotage anyone’s career, or compete in an unhealthy way. As a human being, that doesn’t make me happy,” says Lauren,

Adding, “I am here to work hard. I haven’t let the ‘games’ affect me because those aren’t my values.” The actor says she became a part of Bollywood by a stroke of luck. “It’s all fate. I was having a great time in the US when I got a mail from Remo D’Souza asking me if I want to be part of ABCD (2013). And here I am. It was all meant to be.

Can you imagine, I hadn’t watched a single Bollywood film in my life until then? I left my apartment, my family and my country,” she says, adding that it has all been worth it. “I have no godfather in the industry, which means I need to give it my 100 per cent every time. If I had someone here, it would have definitely been easier,” says Lauren.
