That’s the way he likes being known, presented and loved. Not following the method that actors of this generation pursue, Akshay Kumar likes having 3-4 releases a year, entertain people and earn money. In an interview to Koimoi.com, the new age Gabbar revealed what he feels on being the ‘wheel turner’ of the industry.

On being asked to give his thoughts on the style of working and not following the contemporary approach of film selection, the actor said, “Thank you for noticing, not many realize that by working the way that I do, the annual income I make for my industry is far more than if I followed my peers and made one extravagant film a year. I am much happier generating more work and not being at the top, than fighting for my film to be number one every release. I like making movies, I can’t handle the top slot; all people ever want to do is knock you off. Being a good breadwinner is all the stability I and my industry needs. Let the champions rule, I’m happy being a content runner up.”

Gabbar is Back opens in theatres across today and is expected to fetch a good opening. With the masala flavour back in town, let’s hope the counters get the cash registers flowing. Good luck team Gabbar!
