“I make passionate love stories because I don`t have love in my life”, says Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a name in the film industry who is known for his larger than life films, films of passionate love and emotions. But the filmmaker is a loner in his own life with no love, with no relationship that can keep his heart in a warm palm. For him, his art is his only love that fills the loneliness of his life. But Sanjay doesn’t work to fill the gaps in his life, he works because he is passionate about it, and he is putting in 20 hours a day even at 50.

The director feels that one can make friends in Bollywood but this stream doesn’t allow you to do so. If as a director you don’t cast one actor repeatedly in your films, he will feel betrayed and the friendship ends in a fraction of a second. Though he confessed that Shah Rukh, Rani, Aishwarya are dear to him but Salman Khan is one person that he`d always consider very close to his heart. He doesn’t want to change anything in his life that has happened and said, “All the pain, suffering, love, passion and conflicts have made me what I am. I make passionate love stories because I don`t have love in my life. My art completes my life. My life may be unfulfilled. But it isn`t unhappy.”

The maker has directed flicks likeDevdas,Blackand many more but is now ready to be more adventurous as he is allowing other directors to come up with a good script and produce it under his production house. Sanjay has recently produced his sister, Bela’sShirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, and started a soap opera,Saraswatichandra.The director is living his life to the hilt without regretting it.
