“I would love being a part of Andaz Apna Apna 2” – Aamir Khan

One film that the audiences have only hoped to get materialised on screen is certainly the sequel to the cult classic comedy Andaz Apna Apna. The 20 year old epic masala Hindi film starring Salman and Aamir has found a lot of love through its journey. The magnanimity of the sequel though has barred most producers, directors to even think about it. However, when asked about any possibility of the film happening, superstar Aamir Khan said he would love being a part of the film.

At a recent special screening of Megan Mylan’s documentary on girl child, Aamir when asked about the prospect of the film said that it’s been twenty years since the speculations have gone on but he would still want to be a part if it happens. “I would love being a part of the film along with Salman, we keep talking about it but it depends on Rajkumar Santoshi if he would script the film and bring to us. It’s important that both me and Salman like the idea so we can move ahead,” Aamir said. The actor stands completely justified in understanding the complications attached with the project. While the film is most likely to remain in limbo, we wonder if audiences understand it.

Andaz Apna Apna when released in 1994 couldn’t really be a success but it got more than it due share eventually. The film is considered to be one of the great comic classic made in the country with superstars like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan together. Well, place the same prospect of these two stars coming together at today’s time and imagine the stimulating thrill that will take over the country. But alas, it doesn’t seem like happening, even if the stars continue to fool us with their consoling remarks!
