While some renowned filmmakers would willingly make cameo appearances in many of their movies, take Subhash Ghai for instance, Aamir Khan says that he would not act in a movie helmed by him. Interestingly, the 2007 drama film Taare Zameen Par marked the acclaimed celebrity’s first experience in the dual role of actor and director. However, now, the Ghajini star feels that it can be possible for a filmmaker and actor’s sensibilities to not coincide.

"As an actor you tend to trust your director, but in my initial days I have worked with directors where our sensibilities didn't match”, the actor stated during a discussion at the launch of the MAMI Film Club, “So, I suffered throughout the shooting of the film. So, after that I am very careful with the choice of directors that I make... If I would direct a film, I would not act in it”.

Mr. Perfectionist will be next seen on screen in Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial Dangal, which is slated to release on December 23. Aamir will be portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat. The background score for the biographical sports drama will be contributed by Pritam Chakraborty and lyrics will be penned down by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
