Imran Khan-Shruti Haasan to pair up for Aanand L. Rai’s maiden production

As Imran Khan preps up to fill in the gap since his last theatrical release in 2013, the actor is making amends pretty quickly. The actor will now be seen opposite Shruti Haasan in Aanand L. Rai’s first production. The couple has already worked together in thriller film Luck.

Filmmaker Aanand L. Rai, who’s gearing up for his next directorial Tanu Weds Manu Returns, is apparently planning to remake the Tamil hit Kalayana Samayal Saadam. The film will be helmed by project’s original helmer RS Prasanna. The project is expected to go on the floors by the end of this year.

The film is about a couple who encounter many troubles from the journey for their engagement to marriage. Imran is currently working on Nikhil Advani’s Katti Batti opposite Kangana. The actor hasn’t had a major hit in a long time.
