He's Very Down To Earth On The Sets: Imtiaz Ali On Directing SRK For JHMS

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is known to have helmed movies such as Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal and Tamaasha. Recently, the Rockstar director joined hands with Shah Rukh Khan for the movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. During the trailer launch of the movie, the auteur opened up about his time with the king of romance.

Ali was quoted as saying, “Working with him was like working with any other actor. You realised he is a big star only when you see the crowd around the sets. Otherwise, the way he carries himself and participates in a film, you don't get the feel that he is a star”. He further added, “We both are from theatre background so it was easy to communicate with Shah Rukh. It was easy to work with him. He is a basic theatre actor for whom the story and the co-actor is important. He is the only giving actor I have worked with”.

Regarding the movie, Imtiaz revealed that her mother suggested the idea to make a movie on a tour guide. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma. ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ is slated to release on August 4.
