With the rise in number of crime against women, of late, actor Isha Kopikkar feels being prepared for the unpleasant is the best thing to do. The Kya Kool Hai Hum actor suggests that girls should learn self-defence, as no one can protect them better than they, themselves. And she got this idea while training in a combat sport for her upcoming film. "Given girls are generally tagged as the 'weaker' sex, and are targeted by anti-social elements, it will do us ladies good to learn some self-defence techniques," says Isha.

Personally, Koppikar likes a Korean form of martial arts called Hapiko, she reveals. "Hapiko is a very efficient form of combat that requires minimum strength and yet, is very effective in defending against any sort of attack," she explains, adding, "An ideal world would be where girls are safe and respected like human beings, and not subjected to violence but till that happens, it is best to prepare for the worst.
