Item girl Malaika Arora walks the ramp for Vikram Phadnis at LFW

Mumbai, March 3 -- The original item girl of Bollywood Malaika Arora Khan, whose latest number from Housefull 2 -- Anarkali Diasco Challi -- is making waves nowadays, has walked the ramp for designer Vikram Phadnis at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012.Accompanied by sister Amrita Arora, the glamour girl has set the stage ablaze in Phadniss ethnic collection, which the designer has created keeping in mind the Indian and earthy attires.Talking about why he selected the Arora sisters for his show, Phadnis said, "Both are like family. They are very energetic and quite different when it comes to style. They are beautiful in their own way."During the fashion show Amrita wore a beige golden elegant traditional attire with a draped chunni, while Malaika shimmered in a black velvet long -sleeved blouse and creamy lehenga.Besides the item girl, Bollywood stars Karismha Kapur, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Neha Dhupia, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Sangeeta Bijlani among others came to cheer up the designer during his show.
