Item numbers are important for making a career in Bollywood, says Prachi Desai

The young and talented actress Prachi Desai, who started her career with a TV serialKasamh Se and grabbed roles in the famous movies likeRock On!!,Once Upon A Time In MumbaaiandBol Bachchan, has come a long way since then and now she has shown her liking for item numbers in movies by saying that they are important for making a career in Bollywood.

Desai stated that “Item numbers are extremely beneficial in an actress’ career. If you get a song which really cracks it for you, it is fantastic, as people, more than watching your film, watch you on TV in that song.” She further added “These days I don’t see much difference between a normal song and an item number, as long as it is an entertaining song.”

In her upcoming movie,I Me Aur Main, the 25-year-old actress has danced with John Abraham on a peppy number, a male version of Sridevi’s chartbusterNa jaane kahaan se aayi hai. The actress considers herself lucky enough to achieve a lot in a very short period.
