It's A Big Fight: Priyanka On Gender Bias In Movies

Priyanka Chopra is back on her land after a year. The actress, who is prepping up for the release of her maiden Hollywood flick, is here in Mumbai for its promotions. Priyanka has also locked few Bollywood projects including a biopic on India’s first female astronaut Kalpana Chawla.

While talking about her flick, Baywatch, to the media, the actress also talked about gender bias. She said, "We live in a male dominated world - be it India or America. Even over there, people are fighting for equality. The world in general has told women that we are second class citizens. So now, even in films, male stars are given that sort of reverence. With female actors also, we should change our point of view. We have already had a 100 crore woman oriented film - Kangana's film, right"?

The actress also maintained that it’s a big fight and people should watch good films and not judge if it is a girl or a guy. On a related note, the actress is here in the city for 10 days to promote the flick which is slated for a release on May 25. Baywatch also features Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
