Jackie Chan thinks India-China need to join hands for movies

The action legend of cinema world, Jackie Chan, is quite eager to make a union of India and China possible. He thinks that India is the largest country in film production while China has the second largest market for films. Hence they should collaborate for movies and culture.

In the capital of India, Chan launched the Chinese Film Festival and said that more such initiatives would help in developing the relationship between India and China. He said, "There are (many) productions, studios and directors, you can hire some of the Chinese stars - actors, actresses to act in the movies or find some Chinese location (for your films).” He also shared his experience of working with Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat in 2005 film The Myth, "I worked with Mallika because there was a scope for something Indian (in the film)... (For Indian element) we know we need to come to India. But yes, I`ve always known India is a big market for films, and I believe we should collaborate for culture, music, movies, and everything.”

Discussions took place between Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari and his Chinese counterpart Cai Fuchao to find out ways to hold screening of more Indian films in China and also to co-produce films. Jackie also referred to his chances of foraying into Bollywood, "There are Bollywood directors who want to hire me and they want to make a movie, and also they want me to help them to make a movie in China. But because of the script, I didn`t really like it, so we didn`t make the deal! But I really hope someday I can make one Bollywood movie, singing, dancing... that`s what I want.” We hope to see the legend in Bollywood soon.
