Jai Ho is not a record-breaker, fails to surpass Ek Tha Tiger’s opening day’s numbers

Salman Khan’s latest release, Jai Ho, which was expected to break all the recent box-office records, has failed to meet the expectations so far. Its first day collections have been a little bit disappointing as it has been lagging behind Salman’s previous blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger as far as the opening day’s numbers are concerned.

As estimated by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Jai Ho could collect only Rs 17.55 crore on its first day. The most unsatisfactory issue remains that this figure comes nowhere closer to Ek Tha Tiger’s opening day’s collections which were around Rs. 33 crore. Taran tweeted on Saturday, “#JaiHo Fri ₹ 17.55 cr nett. India biz only.” Though the analyst also predicted that Jai Ho will do better in the coming days. Jai Ho is an action-drama flick which also stars Daisy Shah, Sana Khan, Tabu, Danny Denzongpa, Suniel Shetty and Genelia D`Souza and it is the remake of Telugu film Stalin.
