Javed Akhtar discharged from hospital, advised to stay in Delhi for treatment

Veteran lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar has been discharged from hospital but advised to stay in Delhi for further medication. Akhtar was admitted to the hospital for spinal and severe back issues. The legendary writer is in better health state now and has been accompanied by his wife Shabana Azmi all the time.

Azmi said, “You know, we had our friends over on our anniversary and everyone was talking and no one listening. While Javed was taking his hydrotherapy in hospital, I told him he was floating like Prem Chopra in a Hindi film. Javed immediately said to me, 'You don't look like Mona darling.' I am looking forward to bringing him back home in Mumbai soon.”
