The debut movie of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh ‘MSG: The Messenger of God’ proved out to be a dud at the box office. Its sequel was planned soon after its release and was released this Friday. The movie has landed into controversy even before completing the first weekend at the box office.

‘MSG 2 – The Messenger’ has now been banned in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh for remarks that hurt the sentiments of the tribal people. According to an IANS report the movie carries some unpleasant remarks against tribals.  An official release issued stated that, "Jharkhand government has taken note that MSG 2 movie, released on September 18, has used some unsavoury remarks which are unconstitutional. The remarks hurt the sentiment of the tribal people".

Now the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das has directed the officials to ban the movie in the state. The film is also facing difficulties in Punjab, where the theatre owners are showing no interest in the flick. Speculations are rife that the Dera Sacha Sauda sect. head will also participate in the hit reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ season 9.
