John Abraham: Our Industry Is Like A Basket Full Of Crabs

Despite the problems caused by demonetization and filmmakers postponing their release dates, John Abraham released his flick, ‘Force 2’, on schedule, which was last Friday. The actor recently spoke about the same and shared that postponing his film would not have improved the situation. He also compared the industry to a “basket full of crabs”.

“Remember one thing: Our industry is like a basket full of crabs. So, even if one is trying to get out of it, they will pull you back”, John said. The 41-year-old explained why he thinks so and shared, “As a producer, you have to understand that after your film releases, there are twenty other films releasing in a domino effect. Will everyone oblige your film and push theirs by a week? No”. The actor has satisfied himself with the sales of his film as he understands the lean phase the industry is going through.

John feels that it’s not about the numbers anymore and that people would much rather spend money on necessities than movie tickets. ‘Force 2’ was developed to entertain the audiences and that is why he did not postpone the release date. The movie stars Sonakshi Sinha, Tahir Bhasin and Adil Hussain, among others.
