Kaanchi’s promo out; Subhash Ghai says it an inspiring story

The much-talked movie Kaanchi, by filmmaker Subhash Ghai is finally out with its trailer. Bollywood now has a new couple after Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor and that’s the upcoming film’s stars Mishti and Kartik Tiwari. The chemistry of both is excellent in trailer. The promo of romantic drama begins with beauty Mishti and then unfolds her tough side.

The movie is about the inner power of a woman, who stands up against injustice and power in the country. Mishti is playing the character of Kaanchi, who is an innocent rural beauty and falls in love with a village boy, depicted by Kartik. Ghai is extremely happy at the trailer launch as it was his dream project, "I was always surrounded by movies. `Kaanchi` is a very special film and I would like to say it`s a typical Subhash Ghai kind of a film."

He further added saying, "The subject of the film is very important and `Kaanchi` is a very inspiring story. I auditioned more than 350 girls for the role of Kaanchi and there came a time when I thought I will drop the project. But finally I met Mishti and she fits the role." The movie features Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rishabh Sinha in pivotal roles. The movie produced by the director, is scheduled to release on April 25.
