Kalki Koechlin: ‘I went through marriage counselling’

Kalki Koechlin and Anurag Kashyap are officially divorced now. Both the celebrities gave best to save their 4 years of wedding but things didn’t turn out good, and finally they took a decision to end the relation. Kalki recently talked to Hindustan Times and revealed that she had to go through a therapy during that phase. She said, “I went through marriage counselling, I went through therapy ... all of us have these things so why not share them? Why be apologetic?”.

The 31-year-old actress further said, “It’s not like I’ll never talk about my personal life and be absolutely cold and professional. But I have to take into account the other people who are going to be affected. It’s a tricky subject”.

Talking of how the celebrities have been bold to speak about their personal life in public, she mentioned Deepika Padukone’s depression case and said, “Things are coming out in the open. It’s a good time to be in the industry. I do believe Deepika is genuine in speaking about her depression, and she did go through a rough phase. If you want to say something, you should say it — whether or not you’re a celebrity”.
