Kamal Haasan, the Universal Hero, is planning a comeback in Bollywood, not just as an actor, but also as a director, with a film titled Amar Hain. The buzz is that the Chote Nawab, Saif Ali Khan, has been approached for the role and will play the parallel lead. The story touches the political, financial and the underworld issues and moves from Mumbai to North India and then the rest of the world.

Haasan has been working on the project for almost six months and many of his friends are even aware about the project. He said, “I put it aside because of prior commitments and strangely, even when I wrote it around six years ago, I was only thinking of Saif Ali Khan”. Talking about the project, Haasan said, “It's definitely not a comedy; it's more of an action film with lots of emotion, an ensemble piece like The Untouchables”.

The flick has an ensemble cast. Haasan confirmed, “It's the might of many actors which makes a film work. Saif has an important and equal role. His character is the good man so he is the hero of the film”. The response of the Agent Vinod is awaited. “We are working on it. The producers have spoken to him. I am yet to speak with him, but he is aware of this project”, said the Vishwaroopam star.
