Phantom Films is planning a sequel to the 2014 comedy-drama film ‘Queen’. The film was a commercial success and pooled in 108 crore (US$16 million) at the global box-office. Kangana Ranaut, who played the lead role in the film with Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao playing supporting roles, won a National Award for the film.

As per reports, director Vikas Bahl has come up with an idea for a sequel and is currently scripting the first draft. The producers will meet Kangna only once the script is finalised. During an interview with Bollywoodlife, the director has revealed that this time the film will be portrayed from a man's perspective because there isn’t any story that can be narrated from Rani's perspective.

Sources have revealed that Phantom Films will start scouting for co-producers for the film. On the work front, Kangana is currently shooting for Hansal Mehta's 'Simran' in the US. However, movie buffs are very excited to witness Vikas Bahl’s creation in the second instalment of 'Queen'.
