Revealed: Here Are The Details of Kangana Ranaut’s Character In Rangoon

The details of Kangana Ranaut's character from Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon are out.

Apart from Hansal Mehta’s Simran, Kangana Ranaut has also been booked for Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial flick Rangoon. The period romance drama film set during World War II will be bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala. The poster of the film was recently unveiled, which showed Kangana in a black outfit with a haircut similar to Marilyn Monroe.

Interestingly, as per the recent reports, the 29-year-old actress will be seen portraying the role of Jaanbaaz Miss Julia, a 1940s action diva. Julia came into films through theater and also went to the facade to entertain soldiers fighting the Second World War. 

A source close to the production unit has divulged, "That's where Julia, who is in love with a producer, played by Saif, meets Shahid's character and loses her heart again, bringing grit, glamour, and romance into this intense war-drama.” Vishal Bhardwaj has also taken the charge of composing the music of the flick.

Scheduled to release on February 24, 2017, the film will feature Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan as well.
