Kanu Behl’s Titli quite impressive in its first trailer

Titli, a film by director Kanu Behl, is awaiting its grand world premiere in the 'Un Certain Regard' category at the upcoming 67th Cannes Film Festival. Its first trailer has been released which has impressed everyone a lot.

A production by Dibakar Banerjee and Yash Raj Films, Titli is about a member of a violent car-jacking locality who plans to escape from this dreadful 'family' business desperately. Titli himself is the youngest member of the family and the main protagonist, who feels extremely dominated by his elder brother (Ranvir Shorey) and plans to run away from his home, though comes out unsuccessful. He gets married forcefully so that he stays with his family forever.

His marriage never becomes a happy one but he finds a friend in his wife as she is also trapped in the mesh of her dreams and reality. In order to separate himself from an insecure family life Titli takes aid from the world of crime. Titli stars Amit Sial, Lalit Behl, newcomer Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi in the lead. Producer Banerjee confessed that he was so impressed with the script that he wanted to direct the movie. The movie has been written by Sharat Katariya and Kanu Behl while its music has been composed by Sneha Khanwalkar. Here we wish the Titli team all the very best for their Cannes screening.
