Karan Johar: ‘I will not cast Anurag in my film’

Karan Johar is too straight and demanding when it comes to work. "I will not cast Anurag in my film. I only take good-looking actors. I will not make a film where Anurag fits in. Can you imagine Anurag in 'New York'? You see him in 'Gangs of Wasseypur' kind of films", the filmmaker told Live India.

KJo also added, "I will never direct myself. I can't be my own liability. I am open to offers. I don't have a delusion that I can do lead roles, but good supporting roles I will do". The Dharma Productions chief will be seen in a negative role in the Anurag Kashyap directorial, ‘Bombay Velvet’. He said yes to this film because no one else would ever offer him a negative role.

‘Bombay Velvet’ is a crime drama film based on a book called ‘Mumbai Fables’ by Gyan Prakash. Amit Trivedi, the National Award winner, will tune the music for the film. Slated for release on May 15, first teaser of the flick was released on January 28.
