Kareena Kapoor Khan to play Akshay Kumar’s onscreen wife once again

Kareena Kapoor Khan is not only an item girl in Gabbar but also Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film. Earlier in 2004 the duo played husband-wife in Aitraaz and now they will reprise their roles once again. Kareena has also started shooting for the film.

A source close to the film unit said, "Bebo (Kareena Kapoor) plays Akshay's wife in the film. She is killed before the film begins. So Akshay keeps remembering her in flashbacks. The role is like that of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Aditya Chopra's "Mohabbatein". The film's leading lady played a kind of spirit that ran across the film. Likewise in Gabbar." One of the friends of Kareena also said, "Bebo and Akshay share a fabulous rapport. She agreed to do so again because her character propels the story forward." Apart from playing the role of a married couple, Kareena and Akshay have paired up in films like Tashan and Kambakkht Ishq. Their onscreen chemistry has always been well-accepted by the audience and Gabbar is supposed to bank on the same.
