Kareena Kapoor Khan unaware about Southern superstar Suriya’s identity?

Kareena Kapoor Khan has a record of setting the big screens ablaze whenever she appears as an item girl. Her next is the song in Akshay Kumar’s film, Gabbar. It was also reported that she has been roped in to do an item number in Southern superstar Suriya’s film Anjaan. When asked about the same she declined and also couldn’t recognise the famous heartthrob Suriya.

Kareena Kapoor Khan unaware about Southern superstar Suriya’s identity?

Kareena’s statement about Suriya has stirred a fresh controversy as she said, “I don’t know where such baseless stories come from. I haven’t signed any such film. I don’t even know who Suriya and N. Linguswamy are. I have never seen them. I have zero interest in acting in non Hindi films whether it is down South or in Hollywood.” But when asked why she is so unwilling about trying her hands in any regional film industry she reasoned, "How can I emote in a language that I don't know? I was offered beautiful scripts by the late Rituparno Ghosh in Bengali. I never could bring myself to work with this brilliant filmmaker because of the language barrier, and now he is gone." She also tried to control the damage by saying, "I love the work being done in South Indian languages so in Marathi and Bengali. But I'll have to learn these languages to act in them." Suriya’s fans have definitely not accepted such a statement in a positive spirit though they will not be offended much if they accept the fact that this Bollywood diva lacks knowledge of the Southern film industry.
