Initially planned for a May 27 release, Richa Chadda’s upcoming film ‘Cabaret’ has been pushed back. It was speculated that the reason for the shift in dates was creative differences between the filmmakers. Now, director Kaustav Narayan Niyogi has rubbished these rumours and stated that they will soon announce the final release date.

“There are no creative differences at all. This is all rubbish. We have completed the film and it has turned out nicely. Reasons behind the delay are not any ‘differences’ whatsoever”, Kaustav stated, according to PTI. Talking about the release, the director added, “Right now, we want to do the promotions in a robust manner. We haven’t locked any dates yet but all the focus is to give the film right publicity. We want the film to have a dignified release and the biggest exposure. We will announce a date shortly”.

Richa will be seen in a glamorous role in ‘Cabaret’ as she plays a small town girl who makes it big in the glamour industry. The actress had banned the use of cell phones on the sets of the film as she did not want any leaks regarding her looks. Kaustav wants the film to have the maximum reach and says that they don’t want to release the film in a hurry.
