Konkona Sen Talks About Her Upbringing And Her New Directorial

Actress Konkona Sen is back in direction with her new directorial movie “A Death In The Gunj”. The movie is based on a short story written by the actress and her father.

Recently, the Wake Up Sid actress opened up about her personal life. The actress expressed about her disinterest in mainstream cinema which is due to her unconventional upbringing where she was guided by her mother to have an inclination towards artistic content. The Bengali actress also opened up about her mother actor-writer-director Aparna Sen, who enabled her to have a broad world view, understanding of global cinema, showbiz and literature. The movie stars Tanuja, Vikrant Massey, Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin, Tillotama Shome, Gulshan Devaiah, Jim Sarbh and late Om Puri.

The movie is about a fictional incident that took place at a house in Mccluskieganj, Jharkhand. The movie will be hitting the screens on June 2, 2017.
