Kunal Kapoor wants to play substantial roles in movies

Kunal Kapoor was recently spotted at the screening of 'Kaun Kitne Paani Mein', during the sixth edition of Jagran Film Festival, at Siri Fort Auditorium,. He said in an interview to ANI that he has done small roles and special appearances throughout his career; because he felt they were interesting roles. He also said that he would like to play the protagonist in a movie, provided that the movie has a solid story line and a good solid meaty role for him.

While talking about 'Kaun Kitne Paani Mein', the-39-year-old actor said that the film is not an arty one at all, it revolves around the cause of saving water which is done in an unique, not a restricted niche way and is laced with entertainment. He also said that this film has been directed by the I Am Kalam director Neela Madhab Panda, and stars Gulshan Grover and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles.

The Laaga Chunari Mein Daag actor made his debut in B-town as the male lead opposite Tabu in ‘Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities’, in the year 2006. His next movie was Perfectionist-Aamir Khan-starrer Rang De Basanti in the same year, which won him a nomination in Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award category. He recently got married to Amitabh Bachchan’s niece Naina Bachchan.
