Mumbai Director Apoorva Lakhia has shot down rumours that Priyanka Chopra is on board to play the leading lady in the remake of 1973 film Zanjeer. "Priyanka Chopra is not yet confirmed. We have not yet decided on that. However, we are starting the film's shoot from May 13. The scenes of the lead actor will be shot," Lakhia told IANS. Southern superstar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja has been roped in to portray the lead character, originally played by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Lakhia says he would also like Big B to bless the film with his presence. I have not approached Mr. Bachchan yet. But I will soon approach him. It would be great if he could show his presence in the film, said Lakhia.
