Madaari Trailer Promises Smart, Thrilling Ride

Irrfan-Khan starrer Madaari’s trailer has finally been released. The film, which is directed by Nishikant Kamat, who has previously directed Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam, created a lot of buzz when its poster was released a few days ago. 

The trailer promises an intelligent and multi-layered film, with Irrfan Khan firing on all cylinders.

Irrfan Khan will be more dramatic more than ever...

The actor which is known for his nuanced and subtle performances will be as expressive as ever. From the trailer it can be deduced that his son died in an incident and revenge has consumed him in its aftermath. So there is enough room for him to reach his maximum dramatic range. 

Reminds us of A Wednesday...

A Wednesday told a story of a common man who extorts the police commisioner of the city over the phone to get what he wants. The film also reveals personal tragedy of the common man which forces him to take this extreme measure. Similar is observed in this trailer.

Politically charged...

The film, which is billed as a social-thriller, has a mood which suggests that it will have a political angle to it. Also, it appears that Irrfan Khan's character has kidnapped the Home Minister's son.

There might be an Arnab Goswami spoof...

The anger, the spectacles, the accusing finger... the resemblance is uncanny.

Things will be dark and complex...

"Your hate, it doesn't matter. But my hate matters. It is capable of much worse," Irrfan Khan's charcter says and it's hard not to get goosebumps. It is easy to predict the storyline after watching the trailer but there is also a lot of going on in this trailer which isn't quite clear. That only means that things wiill be more twisted than they appear to be.
