Mahesh Bhatt to debut as an actor

Veteran filmmaker, producer and screenwriter Mahesh Bhatt is all set for a new turn in his life now at the age of 65. Bhatt, who is the name behind memorable movies like Arth, Saaransh, Janam, Naam, Sadak, Zakhm, Jism, Murder and Woh Lamhe as a director, producer and writer, will now turn actor in debutant director Mukul Misra’s film Siddhartha.

Produced by Prabhat Pandey this film will follow a man’s journey in search of truth after his life gets devastated following a series of treacheries. Bhatt will play the role of a bald Buddhist monk in the film which also features Shivam Bhargav and Shazahn Padamsee in the leading roles. Bhatt’s role seems to be a cameo but still it is believed that his character will have an immense impact on the entire film as his advice guides the man in his journey. Recent reports reveal that Bhatt will be leaving for Manali on March 5 for a 10-day shoot.
