Mahesh Bhatt on his way to make film on Sikh riots

Filmmaker-producer Mahesh Bhatt is planning to create a film on Sikh riots that took place in 1984 and would also concentrate on the killings of Sikhs inside the Wisconsin (USA) Gurudwara, last year. The maker is a master of keeping controversial things on screen in an artistic way; Zakhm is the perfect example of his intelligence.

Bhatt said, “This heinous crime, carried out by hate mongers in US who killed in cold blood, people who were praying... nothing could be more tragic. We began from there (USA) for the film, and came back home (India) and asked: Have we delivered justice to our own people, have they got a closure yet?” It is not yet clear whether he will produce the movie or will direct it.
