Mahesh Manjrekar adds charm to the ‘Maratha’ cast of Bajirao Mastani

Sanjay Leela Bhansali in order to make his Maratha based love story look more factual and natural, roped in Mahesh Manjrekar. The actor and director would be seen playing a Maratha king in the film and in fact has been able to impress the crew on the first day itself. A source close to the production told that Mahesh has been phenomenal in the Maratha look and character.

Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chorpa in the period love saga, the film is currently being shot through its second schedule. A source also revealed that Sanjay is pitching in to work with new comers and has even roped in some seasoned actors. "Other than Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh whom he directed in his last film Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram Leela and Priyanka Chopra who did an item song in it, Sanjay Bhansali has made sure that the entire cast and crew in Bajirao Mastani is new. He is introducing at least 3 very promising new singers to sing in the music score that he has composed. The actors whom he is working with the first time include Tanvi Azmi, Aditya Pancholi and Mahesh Manjrekar," the source added.
